PIN-7230 Japanese-Style Tailor's Shears — 9.5" Flagship
The PIN flagship. The 9.5" Japanese Kai-pattern tailor's shear that experienced dressmakers go quiet over the first time they pick one up.
Molybdenum-vanadium stainless steel blade, precision-ground to the 45° "golden cut" angle that slices cleanly through silk, jersey and viscose where a traditional cast shear would chew. Soft over-moulded ergonomic handle — 40% lighter than a comparable cast-iron tailor's shear, no metal hot-spot on your thumb after two hours of cutting. Dual anti-rust treatment (PVD coating on the blade flanks, polished cutting edge). Sharpness independently tested 60% above the JIS S6005 specification.
Ships in a black presentation box with care card. Hand-finished at the PIN factory in Dongyang — the same workshop that supplies several premium Japanese-branded shears. Stocked in the UK, full consumer protection, fully re-sharpenable for life.
